Christopher Dobson
Barrister and Solicitor
With over 30 years of trial experience, Chris has built a successful practice in London, Ontario.
Chris has expertise working with clients carrying complex histories, including serious mental illness, addiction, developmental challenges, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, acquired brain injury, and trauma. He received the Champion of Mental Health Award, the Access to Justice Award, and the Janet McEwen Award for his work serving these clients. In 2012, Chris was presented with the Diamond Jubilee Medal for his assistance in establishing London’s specialty courts: the Adult Therapeutic Court, the Gladue Court for Indigenous Peoples, and the Drug Treatment Court.
Chris believes that when the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of his clients are met, the interests of justice are better served.
When not working, Chris connects with his other passions: nature, prayer, poetry, art, and the enjoyment of a silent space.
Alexander Dobson
Barrister and Solicitor
Alex articled with criminal defence lawyer, Richard Braiden and joined Dobson Law in 2020 after his call to the bar. He became an Assistant Crown Attorney in early 2022. He prosecuted criminal and provincial offenses in Parry Sound for nearly a year before moving away from criminal law and into civil litigation. He rejoined Dobson Law in January 2024 armed with a new set of tools to apply to his true passion as a criminal defence lawyer.
Alex is an informed, personable, non-judgmental advocate who is committed to just results for his clients. His broad experience provides a unique perspective on the law and assists him in identifying the best course of action for your case.

In his free time, you may find him donating golf balls to a local golf course.

Carla Sanchez
Licensed Paralegal
Carla became a licensed paralegal in 2021. She has worked for criminal defence lawyer, Richard Braiden, and as part of the Dobson Law team since. Her fluency in spanish is an asset that allows us to provide specialized support for clients who are more comfortable speaking spanish than english.
Carla began her journey as an advocate volunteering for the John Howard Society’s bail verification program, where she assisted people in navigating the criminal justice system and accessing resources for treatment. This experience deepened her understanding of the relationship between poverty/addiction/mental health and criminal justice.
Carla is enrolled at Kings University, majoring in social justice. She is committed to the pursuit of justice, advocating for those in need, and expanding her knowledge.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in traveling, cherishing moments spent with family and friends, watching sports and going to the gym.
